Royal Masai Mara Safari Camp & Lodges
Site Layout on map - The Popular Paradise Of "Hippo Bend Lagoon"
For decades the Royal Mara site has hosted luncheon picnics, mobile safaris and private getaways - and for good reason. From the tree lined beaches of "Hippo Bend Lagoon" to the adjoining savannah and fertile marsh depressions, the land of the Royal Mara is unmatched in its marriage of natural beauty and abundant year round wildlife. The construction of the Royal Mara along a one mile stretch of the Mara River permanently established this unique site as a year round exclusive lodging facility. The Royal Mara is especially suited for couples on their honeymoon who seek exclusivity, beautiful accommodations, and the experience of a romantic safari retreat. Please see the map below for

The Masai Mara is renowned for its dense concentrations of wildlife and the site of the Royal Mara is no exception. This land is teeming with resident and migratory wildlife. Our river frontage alone features over two hundred permanent hippos, spread out amongst three massive hippo pools inhabited by several hippo families and rogue bachelor herds. Our eight luxury guest suites are set up along the Mara River and behind them is situated a camp marsh which further attracts varied bird wildlife. Even a casual stroll around the Royal Mara can turn into a mini game walk experience. Our lagoon and waterhole areas situated on the camp periphery further attract an endless parade of large mammals throughout the day and night.
